Prayagraj, April 23. Five members of a family including an infant were brutally murdered at Gangapar area of Prayagraj district on late Friday night, police said on Saturday. Police said that the family including Raj Kumar Yadav, who was sleeping in the house, along with his wife, daughter, daughter-in-law and infant grand daughter were murdered with sharp edged weapons at Wazirpur village under Tharvai police station area. Police hinted that there is also a possibility of rape of a deceased girl from the family. Senior Police officers have reached the spot and are investigating. The deceased were identified as Raj Kumar Yadav(55), his daughter Manisha(25), his wife Kusum(50) and his daughter in law Savita(30) and 2 year old Sakshi, daughter of Savita. Sunil, the son of Raj Kumar survived as he was out to attend a marriage ceremony. In the preliminary investigation it was found that in the night, the miscreants entered the house and killed these people with sharp weapons and looted valuables and fled. The incident came to light on Saturday morning. Earlier, there was an incident of mass murder in Nawabganj police station area a few days back. Five members of the same family were murdered with sharp weapons. Among them were husband and wife and their three daughters. Meanwhile, BSP chief Mayawati has condemned the incident and has demanded immediate action against the culprits.
