Taking serious note of reports of corruption, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Thathri was suspended today and assigned to the office of Chief Education Officer Udhampur, pending an investigation into the allegations of corruption.
According to information, the ZEO Thathri was suspended by the Principal Secretary to Government, School Education Department, based on a complaint against Mir Ali, I/c Zonal Education Officer, Thathri, endorsed via letter No.DSEJ/MW/V-356/46568-70 dated 12.02.2022 from Director School Education, Jammu, via Government Order No.254 -Edu of 2022, endorsement No. Edu-GEN/180/2022-01, Dated: 30.03.2022.
“Pending enquiry into the conduct, Mr Mir Ali. I/C Zonal Education Officer Thathri is placed under suspension with immediate effect in pursuance of Rule 31 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956. The said officer is attached to the office of Chief Education Officer, Udhampur” read the suspension order.
