RAMBAN, APRIL 28: Taking a swift action on the complaints of overloading and overcharging by the commuters, Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Ramban, Shafqat Majid, today seized three vehicles on Karol Kumait and Ramban to Kabbi routes.
Many passenger vehicles were not plying at half of authorized seating capacity as per Covid guidelines. The enforcement team realized a fine of Rs. 10, 000 from violators for overloading, overcharging and violation for various extant rules of Motor Vehicles Act.
The enforcement team urged private transporters to stick to 50% restriction on authorized seating capacity to contain the spread of COVID-19 infection.
