DC Ramban inspects Shelter sheds, designated langer sites for Shri Amarnath Yatra 2021

JAMMU, FEB 3: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Ramban Mussarat Islam, today conducted an extensive tour of NH-44 to inspect various shelter sheds and proposed langer sites for Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2021 .
The DC also visited RAHAT centre/Shelter shed at Dhalwas which has a holding capacity of around 600 persons.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal; Dy. SP, Rajinder Singh, Tehsildar, Ramban, EO MC, Ramban and other concerned officers accompanied the DC during the visit.
During his visit to Dhalwas, the DC took on spot review of availability and requirements at the shelter shed for the stay of Yatries in case of traffic breakdown or any other emergency during Yatra. The DC directed the agencies to keep ready all designated Langer sites well before issue of prior permissions to registered religious originations.
Earlier, the DC visited main market Ramban and directed EO, MC to prepare an action plan to develop a parking lot in the Ramban town, which would cater to nearby Government institutions including District Hospital, District Court Complex and schools.
The EO was also directed to ensure regular cleanliness drives and sanitation of the town.
