DDC Kishtwar reviews progress on PMDP, languishing projects and Capex Budget

 District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today reviewed the status of works under languishing projects ,Capex Budget and the Pradhan Mantri Development Projects (PMDP) here in a meeting of heads of the line departments at Conference Hall DC office Complex Mini secretariat Kishtwar. Joint Director Planning, Mohd Iqbal; Assistant Commissioner Development  Kishtwar, Kishore Singh Katoch; ALC Kishtwar Anoop Kumar,DSWO Kishtwar Tariq Parveaz Qazi,DGM JKPCC, Raman Sahni; Chief Education Officer, Ashok Kumar; Executive Officer Municipal Council Tariq Balwan; Executive Engineers of PWD,PDD,PHE besides other district Officers of line departments attended the meeting.  During the meeting DDC took detailed work-wise physical and financial status of the projects undertaken by different departments under the languishing project,PMDP and other schemes.  Besides, he also assessed the status of technical sanctioning, administrative approval and tendering progress of several projects. During the meeting ,Joint Director Planning Mohd Iqbal briefed the meeting that out of total 10 works undertaken in the PMDP which amounts to Rs 11316 lakh ,09 works are in progress and and 01 work has been completed besides out of 45 works undertaken in the languishing projects amounting Rs 11982.39 lakh,09 projects with an expenditure of  Rs 540 lac. have been completed so far whereas 29 number of the works are in the progress and 04 works have been recommended for de-sanctioning due to litigation and unavailability of land etc. DDC fixed the timelines for every project  and directed all the concerned officers and officials to accelerate the pace of progress on all these projects so that these could be completed in time bound manner. He further instructed the executing agencies to ensure the quality of material used in these works. Stressing on the regular monitoring of projects he asked all the District Officers and indenting agencies to personal inspect and monitor the developmental works undertaken in their sector. He also sort weekly progress report for effective monitoring.  In order to achieve tangible results in development sector he exhorted upon all the executing agencies to adopt the target based approach.  Highlighting the benefits of various welfare Schemes of Labour Department,DDC asked ACD Kishtwar to ensure registration of all eligible job card holders with J&K Building and Other Construction Workers welfare Board for which ALC kishtwar was instructed to facilitate rural development department in every aspect besides DSWO Kishtwar was asked  to weed out inactive beneficiaries and register new eligible beneficiaries with the social security schemes of the department. While reviewing the progress of the PMAY (Rural) and PMAY (Urban), Joint Director Planning informed the meeting that 12000 families have been identified in the district under Awas plus. In this context ACD and EO Municipal Council Kishtwar was impressed upon to expedite the pace of work for timely completion of the PMAY houses ahead of shifting towards Pradhan Mantri Awas plus.
Progress on various Water supply scheme under execution in district was also reviewed in the meeting.
He reviewed the progress of the agriculture and Horticulture departments in  identification of the villages which will be developed as model in Horticulture and agriculture sector in the district.
DGM,JKPCC was asked to rationalise the accomodation in the New DC Office Complex Mini secretariat Kishtwar so that sufficient accomodation is left out for district offices in the premises.
The progress on Ayushman Bharat   PM Kissan Besides  and other  schemes was also reviewed in the meeting.
