The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was closed for traffic due to landslides in Udhampur district.
The landslides hit the highway at Samroli area of the district, police said.
Due to the landslides, over 4,000 vehicles are stranded at various places along the Srinagar Jammu highway.
The men and machines of Border Road Organisation (BRO) have started clearance operations in the area.
