Maj Gen NK Airy visits NCC Camp at Nagrota

 

Maj Gen N K Airy, ADG Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh Directorate paid a visit to Annual Training Camp at NCC Camping Ground, Nagrota in order to gauge and review the training activities. The Gen was received by Brig Satish Kumar, Group Commander, Jammu Group and Camp Commandant CO, 2 J&K Girls Bn. The hallmarks of the camp are to make the cadets well acquainted with the different aspects of Map Reading, Field Craft & Battle Craft and also to hone their Firing Skills.

The Additional Director General inspected the camping area and upcoming training infrastructure. He appreciated the efforts put in by the training instructor staff and lady NCC Officers who have been providing the best of training and enhancing the practical knowledge of the attendees during the Covid times. The Conducting unit was applauded for maintaining adequate hygiene and sanitation arrangements in the camp. In his address to the cadets he congratulated the cadets and boosted their morale by motivating them to cast aside all their apprehensions and actively participate in upcoming Republic Day Contingent Camp.  In addition to this, he also felicitated the outstanding cadets who proved their mettle by dent of their commitment, discipline, perseverance, time-management, punctuality, passion and zeal to serve humanity with grace. He lauded the initiative and efforts undertaken by 2 J&K Girls Bn to execute the camp and take it to its culmination with utmost perfection. This camp will definitely set an example for other NCC cadets to join upcoming camps with massive participation. The evening session of the camp showcased a plethora of colorful and vibrant performances including Folk dances, songs and also presented the cultural heritage of their respective regions.
