India’s Covid-19 tally on Saturday crossed the 8.1 million-mark after 48,268 cases, 551 related fatalities were registered in the last 24 hours, according to the Union health ministry’s dashboard. The active cases have further fallen down to 582,649 while over 7.43 million have recovered from the disease so far. The country’s daily Covid-19 tally has been below 50,000 for the past few days and the new number of cases added on Saturday were lower than that of Friday.
Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, West Bengal are some of the states which continue to be worst affected from the pandemic. Maharashtra which was once a Covid-19 spot has not recorded the maximum number of daily Covid-19 cases for the past one week.
