J&K’s Handwara to get Industrial Biotechnology Park, construction in full swing

Construction of Industrial Biotechnology Park is on full swing in Handwara town of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district. This Industrial Biotechnology Park is being constructed by National Projects Construction Corporation (NPCC) at an estimated cost of Rs 33.1 crore and it will be completed by July 2021. Once completed, the park will offer state-of-the-art facilities to start-ups and biotech industries. The biotech park project will be run by the CSRI- Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) and it will act as the mentor institute in the development processes. The park will be equipped with laboratories meeting and conference halls besides other modern facilities. Local residents also appreciated this step taken by the Centre and UT administration.
