Mayor Kick Started Development Works at Channi Area

 

Continuing the drive to provide better development & Civic amenities to the people of Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation today on 08.09.2020 alongwith Sh. Raj Kumar Tarkhan Councillor of ward No: 51 & Madam Neena Gupta Councillor of Ward No: 50 kick started the pending work of laying of slab at 2nd floor of Baba Yamuna Puri Temple Community Hall at Mohalla Sandh (old Channi) in ward no: 51 at the estimate cost of Rs. 15 Lakh only. Sh. Ajay Gupta Assistant Executive Engineer, Junior Engineer of Division No: I and other field staff of Jammu Municipal Corporation, concerned contractor were also accompanied the Mayor during the function. Master Kewal Krishan Gupta, Master Jagan Nath, Sh. Raghubir Singh Charak, Sh. Waryam Singh Charak, Sh. Jagdish Bhagat & other prominent inhabitants of ward were also present there.

Mayor said this Temple is an ancient one & inhabitants of Channi Himmat & Its adjoining localities visits here in-connection with religious / traditional functions on routine basis and Hon’ble Councillor Sh. Raj Kumar as well as Smt. Asha Rani Ex Municipal Councillor of the ward who also happens the wife of the present Councillor has done an excellent job in overall development activities of the ward being largely extended & mostly belongs to rural areas. He also paid on spot instructions to the concerned Engineering Division to prepare an estimate of construction of parapet & other remaining work related to this community hall for the welfare of the locals & assured that necessary funds be released in phased manner for the restoration & beautification of this traditional place. People thanked the Mayor & concerned Councillor for taking keen interest in the development works of their ward.

Mayor also appeal to the General Public to come forward & co-operate with JMC in the development activities being undertaken by the department adopt the habit of segregation of dry & wet waste, do not use single used plastics / polythene carry bags, plant more & more saplings in & around their localities where sufficient space is available, remove the illegal encroachments at their own level if done on the Government Land / Nallahas, so that Jammu City can be made neat, clean, green and encroachment free City.
