Appreciating untired efforts and services of front-line Corona Warriors in fight against deadly COVID-19 Pandemic, National President of WWAO Sh. Parshotam Manhas in presence of Sh. Chander Mohan Gupta Hon’ble Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation today on 11.05.2020 organized a facilitation programme in a very simple manner while maintaining proper social distancing near Government Higher Secondary School Paloura Jammu of ward no: 59 for honouring frontline Corona Warriors like Safaikaramcharies of the said ward as well as Police Personnel who are performing their duties with full dedication at Police Nakka situated at Paloura, Jammu. Sh. Arun Chibber Senior BJP Leader, Madam Sneh Bali, Dr. Sanjogta Soodan, Madam Sunita Chadha, Principal and Sh. Kartar Singh, Master of the School were also present during the this special occasion. Police Personnel were honoured by providing umbrella to protect them from Heat Waves, Gamcha / Pataka from sweating, face masks, sanitizers etc. while dry ration and others essential items were distributed to the safaikarmcharies of the ward.
Mayor asserted that human race will always feel indebted to them as Corona Warriors and said that the main stay of the whole War against the Corona Epidemic is to strictly follow the norms of social distancing and use all the necessary precautions like frequent hand washing, maintaining proper personal hygiene and avoid spiting in the public places as well as in the surrounding areas. He said that world will never forget the contribution of Safaikarmcharies, Police Personnel, Doctors, Para Medical Staff, Media persons etc who are performing their duties while not giving an onus of thought about their own well being. He further said that in the present hour of crisis, much needed service is being provided by these Corona Warriors to the public and it is the duty of everyone to raise their moral and honour their services.
Mayor lauded the services of Safaikarmcharies for acting as a strong barrier between General Public and Pandemic and it is because of their relentless efforts that our surroundings are clean and habitable, making it possible for people to stay indoors and away from reach of pandemic. These Corona Warriors are the real heroes of our society, risking their lives for the sake of society during lockdown and also requesting Safaikarmcharies and Police Personnel to maintain Social Distancing while on duty besides following strict measures of self sanitization to keep their own families safe too. The facilitation & honour is just a small gesture and token of gratitude towards invaluable services rendered by them in serving the Nation and humanity and they deserve tonnes more than this and it is only due to tireless efforts and dedication of these front-line Corona Warriors that the Corona Positive Patients admitted in various COVID-19 Hospitals in Jammu were cured and returned back to their families. Mayor further said that such voluntary gestures strengthen our resolves and capacity to combat COVIV-19 and asked the people to follow the advisories issued by the Government to break the chain of this Virus.
