Continuing the drive to provide better development & basic facilities to the people of Jammu Chander Mohan Gupta, Jammu Municipal Corporation today on 20/02/2020 conducted an extensive tour of ward no.47 Bahu Fort area alongwith Smt. Sharda Devi Councillor of said ward , Sh. Vinay Gupta BJP Distt. President, Sh. Rajeev Charak Senior BJP Leader, prominent inhabitants of locality, President of Ward No.47, as well as Sh. Arun Gupta Executive Engineer, Sh. Anil Gupta Asstt. Executive Engineer, concerned J.E. and other field staff of various section of JMC were accompanied the Mayor during the tour. Mayor laid foundation stone of construction of tootian/ Bathing Ghats for ladies & Gents who come for mourning/ last rites and at present there is no suitable bathing facilities especially for ladies in the nearby locality of Ward No.47 or 48 Bahu Fort. The construction work of tootian/ Bathing Ghats will be executed by Jammu Municipal Corporation at the estimate cost of Rs.26.50 lacs at three prominent places near Shishu Samadhian Qasim Nagar, Shishu Samadhian Sheikh Nagar and near Shiv Mandir Mahasha Mohalla of Ward No.47 which was the long pending demands of the inhabitants of the locality. Mayor directed the Engineering wing to complete the said work with quality material & within a stipulated time period to give relief to the people. He also told that JMC has already taken the job of development /renovation work of all the cremation grounds/grave Yards in different wards of the city on priority basis. He also appeal to the general public to come forward & co-operate with the staff of JMC in more development activities in their respective areas, use near by dustbins for collection of garbage, do not use single used plastics, polythenes, in their daily work, plant more & more saplings in & around their locality to make the environment eco friendly, do not throw, garbage, silt, etc on the public lanes drains & nallahas, so that Jammu can be made really a smart city.
