GD Goenka bade farewell to its outgoing Class XII students

 

GD Goenka Public School Jammu, governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust  bade farewell to the students of grade XII at a function held at Goenkan acres. A special programme was organized that began with a prayer and lighting of a lamp to invoke God to shower blessings on all. The girls of grade XII dressed in dazzling sarees and boys in formal suits along with the members of the staff assembled for the farewell party. The grade XI students organized a vibrant and colourful cultural programme to a bid farewell to the outgoing batch.

The most awaited event of the evening was Mr and Ms Goenka, Man of the Eve, Diva of the Eve, Mr Talented and Ms Talented. The gorgeous young girls and handsome boys of GD Goenka astounded everyone with their talent, grace, poise and smartness. The Principal crowned Tavishi Malhotra as Miss Goenka, while Yashvardhan Rathore was declared as Mr. Goenka. Vandit Bhakri became the Man of the Eve, Diva of the Eve title was bagged by Ruchika Thakur. Sarthak Bhat was declared Mr Talented and Ms Talented title clinched by Anisha Sapolia.

The outgoing batch and the members of the staff joined the Principal for the traditional cake cutting ceremony.

Later, keeping with the tradition of the school, the outgoing batch lit candles, disseminating the light of knowledge. The candle flames were passed on from grade XII to grade XI students symbolizing passing down of excellence from one generation to another, old candles sharing the secrets of their flame to new ones ready to burn bright.

The outgoing students expressed gratitude to teachers and acknowledged the strong support and guidance provided to them by all members of the school. The Principal Mr. Rajesh Rathore wished them all the best for their new phase of life. He advised the students to be sincere and confident in all their endeavours. The programme reached its point of culmination with sumptuous lunch.
