IGP Jammu visits Govt. Medical College Jammu; Enquires about health of injured Police personnel, appreciated for bravery

 

Shri Mukesh Singh -IPS, Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone,  Jammu  today visited GMC Jammu  and enquired about the health and welfare of police Constable Bhoom Raj No. 1259/J of P/S Nagrota who sustained bullet injuries in an encounter at  Bann Toll Plaza Nagrota  of Jammu district yesterday morning and are undergoing treatment there.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Constable Bhoom Raj No. 1259/J was injured in an encounter at Bann Toll Plaza Nagrota was evacuated to GMC Jammu for specialized medical treatment.

Mr. Mukesh Singh, IGP Jammu complimented the constable for the bravery displayed by him and other two personnel namely ASI Rajinder Singh, No. EXJ875272 and Sgct Kartar Singh No, EXJ016032 who foiled the nefarious designs of ANEs. He said that J&K Police is proud of them who displayed excellent work. To boost their morale a Commendation Certificate Class-I alongwith cash prize of Rs.25000/- each was given to the policemen on duty.

IGP Jammu Shri Mukesh Singh-IPS  alongwith other senior Police officers  went to meet  the injured and  enquired about his  wellbeing. He was briefed by the hospital authorities about the treatment being administered. IGP Jammu wished him speedy recovery and assured that all help will be provided to him. He said that J&K Police is known for its bravery and sacrifices throughout the country.
