Rana visits GMC, enquires about condition of valiant cop injured in Ban encounter, Hails JKP, Army, CRPF for alertness

National Conference Provincial President Mr Devender Singh Rana this morning visited the Government Medical College Hospital here and enquired about the condition of valiant Constable Bhom Raj of Jammu and Kashmir Police, injured in the encounter with terrorists at Ban Toll Plaza on Jammu- Srinagar National Highway.

The doctors attending on the injured cop briefed Mr Rana, saying his condition was stable.

Mr Rana, accompanied by party leaders including former MLA R S Pura Dr Gagan Bhagat, wished Constable Bhom Raj speedy recovery and lauded his valour and exemplary courage shown while tackling the terrorists. He expressed happiness over his miraculous escape in the encounter with the blessings of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, hoping that he will soon recover.

Saluting his bravery, Mr Rana said in an informal interaction with the media present that bravehearts like Bhom Raj make the nation safe and proud. He praised the presence of mind shown by the police team in tracking down the terrorists and thus averting a big catastrophe. The force, he said, has again risen to the occasion in thwarting the ugly designs of the enemy, he said and lauded the action in neutralizing all the terrorists in swift and brave action.

The Provincial President said the people of Nagrota Assembly Constituency salute the police, CRPF, the Army and other security forces for their relentless, determined and brave fight against the Pakistan sponsored terrorism. He said terrorism has no place in the civilized world and time has come when a united and decisive battle is fought against this scourge. He said that the people of Nagrota like other parts of the country stand by the nation and its valiant forces in defeating the nefarious designs of the enemy in all its manifestations.
