Rana exhorts teachers to impart quality education, instil values in children

Exhorting teachers to impart quality education and instil good qualities in students from the nascent stage, National Conference Provincial President Mr Devender Singh Rana today called for close parent-teacher synergy in setting goal for children as per their aptitude.

 

“While students at tender age crave for extra attention, the teachers in basic level schools can prove to be agents of change as far as academics and career building of younger generation is concerned”, Mr Rana said while addressing the Annual Day function of Motherland Public School at Bamyal in Nagrota Assembly Constituency.

 

The Provincial President hoped the teachers and managements of private schools, especially in rural areas, will maintain pace with changing times and adopt reforms in the education sector in the larger interest of student community and with an intent to make the responsible citizens of the future. He said that future holds a big promise for children, given the vistas of opportunities available to them in the most competitive world. He expressed happiness over expansion of education sector, saying the children of even remote and rural areas are not now required to walk or travel long distances in pursuit of education, as not only basic level schools but institutes of higher learning are in their close vicinities.

 

The Provincial President stressed the need for creating an atmosphere wherein young people flourish in a healthy academic and competitive environment, which will enable them to shoulder their responsibilities with a sense of commitment. In this context, he referred to the useful role of teachers in shaping young minds on positive note and getting them out of the negative influences. “The parents will have to cooperate and supplement these efforts”, he maintained.

 

He complimented the management for striving hard to impart quality education to the students of this area and hoped that they will ensure enrolment of children of the marginalized segments of the society so that they too get ornamented with quality of education.

 

Earlier, the Principal of the School Rajni Devi presented annual report, highlighting various achievements and academic odyssey of students with distinction. He said the school has been endeavouring to give its best to the students belonging to cross section of society in all spheres of academic and extra-curricular activities.

 

Mr Rana complimented the students for presenting scintillating cultural programme depicting various facets of the pluralistic ethos of Jammu and Kashmir and achieving distinction in academics and sports activities. He wished success to students in their future endeavours. He also hailed the faculty members for imparting quality education.
