Deputy Commissioner, Angrez Singh Rana today reviewed arrangements for Republic Day-2020 celebrations in the district.
During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held with regard to all necessary arrangements to be put in place for smooth and successful celebration of Republic Day.
ADDC Kishtwar, Mohd. Hanief Malik, Joint Director Planning, Mohd. Iqbal, ACR Kishtwar Dr. Amir Hussain, officers from CRPF, CISF, Army, Education, RDD, Forest, Youth Services and Sports, Municipality, PHE, R&B, PDD, Banks etc. besides other concerned departments remained present in the meeting.
DC directed the concerned officers to ensure that all arrangements including security, transport, sanitation, drinking water facility, power supply, medicare facilities, barricading, seating arrangement, refreshment etc are put in place well in time.
He further directed the concerned officers for illumination of government buildings and proper seating arrangements for smooth conduct of the Republic day celebration.
It was decided in the meeting that flag hoisting ceremony will be held at District Headquarter, Kishtwar followed by March past by the contingents of CRPF, CISF, J&K Police and NCC.
Besides, cultural programmes will also be presented by the artists, as well as school children.
Directions were passed to SDMs and Tehsildars of the various Sub Divisions, Tehsils and Niabats in the district to put in place all arrangements for the celebration of Republic Day in their respective jurisdictions.
