An earthquake of 5.3 magnitude rocked many areas of Kashmir valley and Ladakh on Sunday morning.
An official told that earthquake of 5.3 magnitude jolted Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh at 1054 hrs on Sunday.
“The epicenter of the earthquake is 34.8 degree North latitude and 74.6 degree east latitude in Ladakh,” he said, adding the depth of the quake is 10 km.
Despite chilly weather conditions and snowfall, people ran out of their houses in panic following the earthquake. However, he said there was no report of any loss of life or damage to the property in the region.
