World’s tallest rail bridge linking Udhampur- Srinagar-Baramulla to complete in 2021: Konkan Railways

 

The much awaited world’s tallest rail bridge linking Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla rail link project being constructed on River Chenab in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir will be completed by 2021.

“The Udhampur-Srinagar- Baramulla Rail Link Project is the most challenging project being undertaken post-independence and it was highly essential to provide an alternative and a reliable transportation system to Jammu and Kashmir to join Kashmir valley to the Indian Railways network,” Sanjay Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, Konkan Railways told reporters here tonight in a press conference.

Mr Gupta said that it is World’s tallest rail bridge connecting important destinations and will be competing in 2021.
