Celebration of birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, Div Com reviews arrangements for Prakash Utsav

For smooth celebration of birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj (Prakash Utsav),  a meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan, to finalize arrangements.

The meeting was informed that the main function will be held at Gurudawara, Chatti Padshai, Srinagar.

The Divisional Commissioner directed Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) to deploy sufficient dedicated Safai Karamcharies at the venue and other Gurudawaras, besides ensuring availability of dustbins and mobile toilets.

Power & PHE Departments were asked ensure un-interrupted electricity and potable water supply in the venue and to ensure that high-mast lights and other lights are functional.

Power and PHE authorities were asked to keep dedicated Gensets and water-tankers available at the venue.

FCS&CA was directed to provide adequate supply of Kerosene Oil to the Guruduwara Prabandhak Committee.

Medical aid camp with Doctors, Para-medical team and medicines will also be setup at Chatti Padshai, besides keeping ambulance service standby for convenience of devotes in case of exigency.

Fire and Emergency services were asked to deploy fire tender at the venue and ensure proper audit of the hydrants.

Necessary Traffic plans en-route Chatti Padshahi will be made by Traffic Department, besides designating adequate parking slots at Chatti Padshai Guruduwara, Marriage Hall and Makhdoom Sahib Rope-Way.

District Administration will deploy magistrates in and around the venue.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar was asked to monitor the arrangements at Chatti Padshai Guruduwara a day before the celebration.

Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Chief Engineers, PHE, KPDCL, Director Food CS&CA, Commissioner SMC, RTO Kashmir, GM JKSRTC, Additional Commissioner Srinagar Syed Hanief Balkhi, Assistant Commissioner (central) with Div Com, DHO Health Services, SSP Traffic, SP (Headquarters), Senior Officer of Fire & Emergency department and other concerned officials were present in the meeting.
