Bharatiya Janata Party has welcomed the announcement of people friendly decisions on the eve of New Year Day. By announcing the abolition of various toll posts including the major one at Lakhanpur the administration has conceded to the long pending demand of the people to implement the promised “One Nation One Tax” policy, asserted Brig Anil Gupta, Spokesperson of the Party. Ever since, the introduction of GST, there has been the demand of abolishing the toll tax because of which the people were forced to pay more for many essential items and daily need items. With the abolition of the toll tax items like cement, vegetables, flour, pulses and clothes as well as iron would become cheaper with immediate effect, stated Brig Gupta. It would provide big relief to the common man and also bring down the cost of construction and help the beneficiaries of Pradhan MantriAwasYojana.
Terming the administration as people friendly, Brig Gupta appealed to the LG to order immediate survey of the damage suffered by the local farmers due to damage of their standing crop due to untimely and provide them suitable relief since farming being their only source of livelihood. He also urged the LG to immediately launch the FasalBimaYojana in the UT.
The decision taken by the administration to restore SMS services in the Valley will also go a long way in easing out the difficulties faced by the people there. By allowing broadband services in the hospitals, it would be ensured that people get benefitted with digital based equipment becoming functional in these hospitals. This will ensure availability of quality health care in the Valley, said Brig Gupta.
Brig Gupta also thanked Dr Jitendra Singh, MOS (IC) DONER and MOS PMO for promptly taking up the issue of protecting jobs of local youth with the Union Home Minister. A recent advertisement by J&K High Court inviting pan-India applications for different non-gazetted posts had drawn flak from the local youth. After the intervention of Dr Jitendra Singh, the said advertisement notice has been withdrawn by the High Court bringing much relief to the local youth. BJP appeals to the people to have patience and not get carried away by the motivated propaganda of the opposition parties whose only aim is to mislead them and play with their sentiments. BJP is committed to safeguard the interests of the people of the state and its leadership is working sincerely to that end. However, new statutes and laws need deliberation at all levels and have to undergo different levels of scrutiny before promulgation, said Brig Gupta. “While the people are justified to express their anxiety and anger, they should not lose faith in the sincerity and commitment of BJP and at the same time not fall prey to the unsubstantiated propaganda of the opposition,” humbly appealed Brig Gupta.
