Be committed & contribute in mission of the force in achieving peace, eradicating crimes from J&K: DGP to pass outs

The attestation cum passing out parade of 2nd BRTC batch of Constables was held today at PTTI, Vijaypur. Director General of Police, J&K Shri Dilbag Singh was the chief guest on the occasion who inspected the parade and took the salute on march past. 281 Recruit Constables passed out today after completion of their basic training.

Sinha, Director SSG Shri Surinder Gupta, DIG JSK Range Shri Vivek Gupta, AIsG of PHQ, COs of Armed Bns, retired Senior Police Officers Shri J.P Singh, Shri Anoop Singh Salathia, Shri Vijay Singh Sambyal, Shri J.L Sharma, Shri H.S Gill besides parents of pass-outs and a huge number of citizens of adjoining areas were present on the occasion.

In his address DGP J&K Shri Dilbag Singh thanked the serving / retired Police Officers, Civil and Paramilitary Officers, the parents of pass outs and citizens of adjoining areas for attending the parade.   He said that today about three hundred brave personnel are joining the department after completing their basic training course and hoped that by their joining the organization will get more strength. DGP, however, emphasized upon the pass outs to be committed and contribute in the mission of force in achieving peace and eradicating crimes from Jammu and Kashmir. The DGP advised the Passout Jawans to follow today’s oath throughout the service and be always ready to provide selfless service to the people and the nation under any circumstances.

The DGP congratulated the pass out Jawans for displaying the outstanding parade and said that he was happy to see the fitness level of the constables. The DGP said that pass-outs have shown a high level of professionalism when they were assigned for parliamentary elections, law & order duties.

Referring the profile of the pass out constables the DGP said he was impressed by their technical and academic qualification and asked the ADGP Armed to utilized the skills of these constable with best possible methods so that the better result are achieved for the department as maximum number of them belong to Armed wing of J&K Police

The DGP said that the commitment and the professionalism of Jammu and Kashmir Police being discussed and appreciated across the country is because of the priceless sacrifices given by our brave and courageous personnel. He appreciated the media fraternity for covering the police events and projecting work of the force in a positive way and added that it encourages our personnel to work with more dedication.

While speaking to media, the DGP said that there are increased number of ceasefire violations by Pakistan aimed at pushing (in) terrorists and added that our anti-infiltration grid is very strong and many infiltration attempts have been foiled in the recent times. He said that Jammu and Kashmir Police has very cordial relationship with public across Jammu and Kashmir and more measures are being taking to strengthen it. The DGP informed that by yesterday, forces have conducted two very successful operations in which one terrorist of JeM, associate of Pak terror commander Omer Bahi was arrested in Tral area of Pulwama District. He said in the second operation forces arrested an associate of terrorist commander Sajad Hyder in Sopore and his arrest has led to the busting of four member terror module in Sopore.

 Earlier in his welcome address, Principal PTTI Vijaypur, Shri Ashok Sharma give a brief resume of the institution and the training imparted to the Recruit Constables. He said that special classes on human rights, domestic violence, and basic rights were also organized. Besides, guest lecturers were also organized for the trainees.

The vote of tanks was presented Assistant principal PTTI, Vijaypur, Smt. Manjeet Kour.

Amit Singh of IRP 24th Battalion was declared all-round best. He was given Out of Turn promotion to the rank of Selection Grade Constable. Recruit Constable Ashish Sharma was declared 2nd all round best and Recruit Constable Deep Kumar was adjudged 3rd all round best. They were rewarded with cash prize of rupees 10,000 and 7,500  respectively. Recruit Constable Ashish Sharma, Sachin Kumar, Rohit Kumar and Raiz Ahmed bagged first position in Indoor, Outdoor and Range classification respectively. They were also rewarded with cash reward of rupees 7,500 each. Parade Commander Recruit Constable Abhishek Chib and 2nd  incharge Parade Commander Sunil Verma were also rewarded.
