Continuing his commitment to provide better basic & development facilities to the inhabitants of Jammu city. Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation along with Sh. Anil Kumar Masoom Municipal Councillor of W.No.10 visited Govt. Girls High School City Chowk Jammu Sh. Suresh Gupta Health Officer, Sh. Parshotam Kumar Asstt. Sanitation Officer, Sanitary Inspector of the said ward & other field staff of different sections of JMC along with Madam Ravinder Kour Principal of the school and staff members were present during the visit of Mayor. Principal put forth various issues such as proper lifting of garbage lying scattered outside the main entrance of the school on routine basis , construction as well as renovation of kitchen and urinals in the complex of the school as Girl Students and staff members are facing lot of hardships due to lack of these facilities there.
Mayor directed the officers of Jammu Municipal Corporation to deploy men & machinery & keep the surroundings & entrance of the school neat & clean so that school going children, staff members as well as inhabitants may not suffer any more due to insanitary condition in the locality. He also assured that a well furnished kitchen & toilet under swatch Bharat Mission may be constructed in the school premises on war footing. He also asked the staff and children to plant more and more saplings in and around school complex & do not use single used plastic in the school as well as at their residence aware their family members, relatives and friends about the ill effects of single used plastic, polythene & co-operate with JMC staff in making Jammu city neat, clean & Green.
