BBIA delegation interact with Chairman, J&K pollution control board

A Delegation of Bari Brahmana Industries Association under the President ship of Sh. Lalit Mahajan in the presence of Sh. Tarun Singla, Sr. Vice President, Sh. Ajay Langer Vice President, Sh. Viraaj Malhotra General Secretary, Sh. Rajesh Jain Secretary, Sh. Vivek Singhal Treasurer of BBIA Association met Sh. Suresh Chugh (IFS) Chairman, J&K Pollution Control Board and highlighted the various issues related to the Industrial Sector of J&K for early resolution.Mr. Mahajan appreciated the working of the Pollution Control Board under the Chairmanship of Sh. Suresh Chugh (IFS) resulting time bound clearance of consent of the Industrial Units under the Ease of Doing Business Concept resulting Zero Pendency as confirmed by the worthy Chairman.During the course of discussions, Mr. Mahajan draw the kind attention of the Chairman in respect of higher rates being charged by the authorized agencies in respect of lifting of Hazardous Waste from the Industrial Units & requested the Chairman to take up the matter with the agencies for the reduction in the rates. In respect of Cement Manufacturing Units, the problem being faced by the Unit Holders for Online Monitoring System due to restrictions imposed on Internet Services. Further, It has been brought into the notice of Chairman in respect of Number of Units engaged in the manufacturing of Plastic Goods already closed due to Ban Imposed by The Govt. & requested the Chairman to take up the matter with the Industries Department for the rehabilitation of such units by providing soft loans to switch over to Bio-Degradable products. The other points discussed in the meeting includes Operation of ETP’s by J&KSIDCO in time bound manner, Functional of State Pollution Control Laboratories Plantation of Trees in the Industrial Areas & other related issues.
Sh. Suresh Chugh (IFS) Chairman, J&K Pollution Control Board assured the Delegation to resolve the issues on priority basis & requested the President to intimate all the unit holders to operate their ETP plants on regular basis which will help to control the Pollution Level with in the Industrial Areas and also offered Free Plants to the Unit Holders for Plantation in their Units.
