President likely to visit J&K 

 

 

Jammu: President of India Ram Nath Kovind likely to visit Jammu and Kashmir to take part in convocation of central university in Jammu.

This will be first visit of president after abrogation of article 370 and 35 A. “The dates are not finalized yet. Most probably he will visit in second week of the March,” an official told The Dispatch.

“A letter has been sent to the Rashtrapati Bhavan for the convocation. It has been agreed. The event is proposed on 14 or 15 March. It will be finalized after full assent from the President. Degrees will be awarded to passout students of 2018 and 2019 at the convocation,” he added.

It is pertinent to mention that the The Dalai Lama was the chief guest at the university’s first convocation in 2018 at that time it was organized in Zorawar Singh Auditorium of Jammu University.
