
The NCORD Committee of Government Degree College Katra in collaboration with the NSS Unit organized a Nukkad Natak in the College Campus under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan to spread awareness among students and faculty members against drug abuse and promote a healthy and addiction-free society.
The programme was conducted under the leadership of the Principal Dr. Rajni Bhagat. The event witnessed good participation from students of BA SEM. II and faculty members who highlighted the harmful effects of substance abuse through an impactful street play. The programme aimed to sensitize the youth and general public about the social, psychological and economic consequences of drug addiction and encouraged everyone to contribute towards building a drug-free nation.
Dr. Usha Sharma and Prof. Mohammad Younus Saleem coordinated the programme efficiently and motivated students to actively participate in awareness activities under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal appreciated the efforts of the NSS volunteers and organizers for using creative mediums like Nukkad Natak to deliver a strong social message among the masses. The programme concluded with a pledge by participants to remain away from drugs and to spread awareness in society regarding the dangers of substance abuse.
