Department of Sociology, Government Degree College (GDC) Sumbal organized a Slogan Writing Competition and a poetic engagement programme titled “Rhythms of Resistance and Hope: A Poetic Engagement on Substance Abuse” under the banner of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) under the guidance of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Shabeena Iqbal Shawl.
The programmes aimed to create awareness among students regarding the harmful effects of substance abuse and encourage creative expression against the menace of drugs. Students participated enthusiastically and presented impactful slogans and poetic reflections highlighting the importance of a healthy, responsible and drug-free lifestyle.
The activities provided a meaningful platform for students to express their ideas, social concerns and commitment towards spreading awareness in society. The programmes reflected the institution’s continued efforts towards youth sensitization, social responsibility and community awareness under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
The events concluded successfully with appreciation for the enthusiastic participation and creative contributions of the students.
