
District Legal Services Authority Budgam, in collaboration with the Legal Literacy Club at Boys Higher Secondary School Khansahib, organized awareness programme under DAWN (Drug Awareness and Wellness Navigation), wherein participants of the Program were apprised about the ill effects of Consuming Drugs.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of O.P. Baghat, Principal District & Sessions Judge (Chairman DLSA), Budgam and under the supervision of Tabassum Qadir Parray, Secretary DLSA Budgam.
The programme witnessed active participation from members of Legal Literacy Club Government Boys Higher Secondary School Khansahib. The resource persons highlighted the growing menace of drug addiction among youth and stressed the need for awareness, prevention, and community support to eradicate this social evil.
The session was addressed by Abdul Quoom Shah, who spoke in detail about the physical, mental, and social consequences of substance abuse. He encouraged students to stay away from harmful addictions and focus on education and personal development for overall development and making environment drug free.
Dr. Khan Muneer Aslam also delivered an informative lecture emphasizing the role of educational institutions, teachers, and parents in guiding youth towards positive activities and healthy lifestyles.
The programme concluded with an interactive session where students shared their views and pledged to remain committed to a drug-free society.
