
PULWAMA, MAY 14: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom today chaired a meeting at Circuit House Pulwama to review and finalise arrangements for the forthcoming mega Pad Yatra as part of Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan and VVIP visit to the district scheduled on May 19.
During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held regarding security arrangements, traffic regulation, transport facilities, venue management, parking, power and water supply, sanitation, healthcare services and other logistical preparations for the smooth conduct of the visit.
The DC stressed upon all departments to work in close coordination and ensure timely completion of their assigned responsibilities for seamless conduct of the event. He directed officers to maintain effective inter-departmental coordination and put in place all requisite arrangements well in advance.
Emphasising efficient public management and smooth movement, the DC instructed the concerned departments to ensure hassle-free arrangements at all designated locations and maintain proper coordination throughout the programme.
Reiterating the importance of Jan Bhagidari and stakeholder participation the DC directed for smooth coordination and assistance for public to join the Pad Yatra.
The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police Pulwama, Tanushree; Additional Deputy Commissioners of Pulwama, Awantipora and Tral, Chief Planning Officer Pulwama and senior officers from Police, Civil Administration and Paramilitary Forces.
