Mass Awareness Activities under Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan continue across Bandipora

BANDIPORA, MAY 14: District Administration Bandipora on Thursday continued activities under the 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan across the district with awareness programmes, pledge ceremonies, group singing events, cultural performances, sports activities, rallies, Gram Sabhas and signature campaigns organised in schools, colleges and Panchayat Halqas.

Awareness programmes, pledge ceremonies and group singing activities were organised at HSS Chuntimulla, HSS Nowgam Bandipora, PM SHRI HSS Shadipora, HS Jurniyal Tulail, HS Ahamsharief, HSS Ketson, GHS Naidkhai, GHS Nadihal, HSS Gadakhud, HS Panar, HS Achoora, HS Koragbal, Government High School Garoora, and other educational institutions under the banner of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan to spread awareness regarding the harmful effects of substance abuse and promote a drug-free society.

PM SHRI GHS Sumbal, HSS Nowgam, HS Ahamsharief, Government High School Garoora, GHS Naidkhai, HS Jurniyal Tulail and HSS Gadakhud organised awareness songs and group singing events highlighting the socio-economic and emotional devastation caused by drug abuse.

At HS Koragbal and Gundiqaiser Block Arin, drawing competitions regarding Nasha Mukt Abhiyan were organised, while HS Wanpora organised a volleyball match under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan campaign. At HSS Quilmuqam, a traditional Ledi Shah performance against drug abuse was presented by a Class 11th student during the ongoing 100-Day Nasha Mukt Abhiyan.

Special Gram Sabhas and awareness programmes under Nasha Mukt Abhiyan were also organised at Panchayat Halqa Shahpora Payeen/Achoora Block Gurez, Gundiqaiser, Ward No. 3 Plan and Mangnipora, where participants reiterated their commitment towards eradicating drug abuse from society.

Government Degree College Ajas organised an awareness programme on the 100-Day Nasha Mukt Abhiyan initiative under the supervision of Principal Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Jabeen.

Meanwhile, under the guidance of Principal Prof. Suresh Kumar Dogra, the College Sports Committee of GDC Bandipora organised a chess competition under the banner of Nasha Mukht Abhiyan. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members and aimed to promote constructive engagement and awareness regarding a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.

An awareness programme on Mental Health and Stress Management under the nationwide Nasha Mukt Abhiyan was also conducted at Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Bandipora by the Department of AYUSH Bandipora.

The Motor Vehicles Department Bandipora also organised awareness activities under the Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan. The department conducted a sticker-pasting drive on commercial vehicles, a signature campaign, pledge ceremony, awareness programme and a vehicle rally carrying anti-drug messages including “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life.”

The programmes witnessed active participation of students, teachers, officials, Panchayat representatives and the general public, reflecting the continued commitment towards successful implementation of the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan across Bandipora district.
