JAMMU, APRIL 28: Principal District & Sessions Judge and Chairman District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Jammu R. N. Watal on Tuesday chaired a meeting in his office chamber to assess the preparations for the 2nd National Lok Adalat scheduled on May 9, 2026.
The meeting, attended by Judicial Officers, focused on ensuring comprehensive arrangements for the successful conduct of the event. Deliberations centered on Case Identification suitable for resolution through the Lok Adalat; logistical arrangements including security of venues, infrastructure availability and manpower.
Stress was laid on awareness and outreach- Promoting the Lok Adalat and its benefits among the public, especially those with pending cases.
The Chairman urged all officials to work diligently to make the National Lok Adalat a resounding success. He emphasized that this significant event provides a vital platform for resolving pending cases through mediation and settlement, thereby promoting access to justice and reducing the burden on courts.
The DLSA’s proactive review underscores its commitment to enhancing judicial efficiency and ensuring justice for all.
