
SHOPIAN, APRIL 28: District Level Credit Linkage Facilitation Meeting under the DBRAP initiative was successfully organized at the Conference Hall of J&K Bank Cluster Office, Shopian, with the objective of enhancing access to finance and strengthening institutional support mechanisms for entrepreneurs across the district.
The meeting was attended by Cluster Head, Mohd Yousuf; Chief Horticulture Officer Shopian, Munir Ahmad; Lead District Manager, Farooq Ahmad; along with representatives from the District Industries Centre and other concerned departments.
Sayeem Rafiq, District Nodal Officer, JKEDI Shopian, presented a detailed overview of the Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP) and highlighted the role of JKEDI as a single window facilitation centre for aspiring and existing entrepreneurs.
He also delivered an informative presentation on the Startup Policy, outlining available opportunities and support frameworks.
During the programme, officials from J&K Bank elaborated on credit disbursement procedures and financial linkage mechanisms aimed at facilitating easier access to institutional finance.
Lead District Manager stressed the importance of maintaining a healthy CIBIL score, proper documentation, and encouraging investments in priority sectors.
Chief Horticulture Officer shared insights into ongoing horticulture initiatives, including the Jammu and Kashmir Competitiveness Improvement Project (JKCIP), while the DIC representative briefed participants on the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme.
