
BHADERWAH, APRIL 16: Deputy Commissioner Krishan Lal convened a maiden interaction with civil society members at Bhaderwah to assess public aspirations and Development requirements.
The DC interacted with a wide range of stakeholders including former DDC & BDC members, religious leaders, tourism representatives, NGOs, youth bodies, political and social activists here at Dak Bungalow, the other day.
The local representatives projected several public demands, seeking expansion of road connectivity, traffic management, parking facilities, strengthening of health & education sectors, development of an indoor stadium, blacktopping of roads and prevention of sewage discharge into rivers. Concerns regarding high fees in private schools and the need for regular monitoring were also projected.
Stakeholders also emphasized promotion of tourism through proper registration and development of homestays to boost the local economy.
The meeting was attended by ADC Sunil Kumar Bhutyal, CEO BDA, SDPO, Tehsildar and other district officers.
The Deputy Commissioner assured that all genuine concerns shall be addressed in a phased and coordinated manner, reiterating the administration’s commitment towards inclusive development and better civic amenities in Bhaderwah.
