Revenue department Budgam conducts anti encroachment drive in Bemina

BUDGAM, APRIL 16: Revenue Department Budgam along with team members from other departments today carried out a major anti-encroachment drive at Estate Bemina (Kacharie land).

The drive was conducted under the supervision of Tehsildar Budgam, Imtiyaz Ahmad, in coordination with the Ward Officer of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC). The joint team worked in tandem to ensure smooth and effective execution of the operation.

During the drive, approximately 3 kanals of Kacharie land were successfully retrieved from unauthorized occupation. The encroached area was cleared with the assistance of field staff and necessary machinery, restoring the land to its original status.

Officials reiterated the administration’s commitment to protecting public land, including Kacharie land, and emphasized that strict action will continue against encroachments. They further stated that such drives will be intensified across the district to prevent illegal occupation and ensure proper land use.

The public has been urged to avoid encroachments and extend cooperation to the administration in safeguarding land resources.
