Functioning of Child Care Institutions reviewed at Bandipora

BANDIPORA, APRIL 08 : In a significant step towards strengthening child protection services, District Child Protection Officer (DCPO) Bandipora, Bashir Ahmad Malik chaired a detailed review meeting and inspection of Child Care Institutions (CCIs) for both boys and girls Bandipora.

The meeting cum inspection was aimed at evaluating the functioning of these institutions and ensuring that standards of care and protection are being properly maintained.

During the review, the DCPO conducted a thorough examination of case files of each child residing in the institutions. The scrutiny focused on admission details, individual care plans, and overall rehabilitation progress.

The meeting also deliberated on the overall management and functioning of the institutions, with emphasis on accountability and improved service delivery. Officials were directed to ensure that all procedures related to child care and protection are strictly followed, and that regular monitoring mechanisms are strengthened.

In addition, the DCPO inspected the availability of essential facilities being provided to the children. This included checking arrangements related to food, clothing, accommodation, hygiene, and general well-being.

The DCPO further directed timely intervention, proper supervision, and adherence to child protection guidelines.

The inspection were conducted in the presence of officials from the District Child Protection Unit, who accompanied the DCPO and assisted in evaluating records and facilities.
