Department of Agriculture Bandipora today launched the “Khet Bachao Abhiyan”, a month-long awareness campaign that will continue till 30th June 2026.
The programme was inaugurated at High School Kudara (PM SHREE) by the District Agriculture Officer, Bandipora, who highlighted the vital importance of soil as the foundation of sustainable agriculture and emphasized the need for its conservation for future generations.
During the programme, students were sensitized about the significance of soil, its role in food production and environmental sustainability, and the various measures required to protect and preserve this precious natural resource.
An interactive session was also organized on the occasion, during which participants were educated about the importance of soil testing. They were provided detailed guidance on the scientific procedures for collecting soil samples for analysis.
