RAMBAN, MARCH 9: Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Imtiaz Ahmed today reviewed anti-narcotic measures and IEC activities being implemented under the Narco Coordination Centre (NCORD) and the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) in the Subdivision Gool.
The meeting was attended by Principal local Higher Secondary School Farooq Ahmed Wani; local Block Development Officer Sadam Hussain; BDO Sangaldan, Mohammed Irfan; CDPO Bashir Ahmed Malik and officials from the line departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, Police and Health.
The SDM reviewed awareness campaigns being conducted in educational institutions, community outreach activities and legal surveillance against Narcotic trafficking. He directed stakeholder departments to prominently display drug de-addiction helpline numbers and organize awareness camps in their respective areas to educate the public about the dangers of drug addiction. “Make it sure that drug de-addiction helpline numbers are displayed at every Anganwadi Centre and that awareness activities are conducted among women and children through these centres,” he asked CDPO.
