57 Samba Women attend Mushroom Cultivation Training at SKUAST Jammu Deputy Commissioner flags off trainees

SAMBA, MARCH 02: A group of 57 women farmers and members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) engaged in mushroom cultivation attended a one-day training programme at the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST), Jammu.

The exposure visit was organized under the HADP project – “Promotion of Mushroom Cultivation” and the group was flagged off from the DC Office Complex by District Development Commissioner Ayushi Sudan, in the presence of Chief Agriculture Officer, District Agriculture Officer and officers from DCTS Rakh Dahisar.

The women farmers were acquainted with the latest innovations, scientific techniques and technological interventions in the field of mushroom cultivation.

Earlier, the District Development Commissioner encouraged the participants to make optimum use of the exposure visit and adopt the advanced methods and best practices demonstrated during the training.
