
DODA, APRIL 20: In line with the directions of the District Administration Doda and the Directorate of School Education Jammu, Day-7 of the ongoing Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan was observed with great enthusiasm across District Doda through Painting and Poster Making Competitions focusing on the ill effects of drug abuse.
The activities were conducted in all educational institutions, including Higher Secondary Schools, High Schools and Middle Schools of the district. The initiative witnessed an overwhelming response, with approximately 695 schools actively participating and a remarkable 10,425 students showcasing their creativity and awareness through impactful artwork.
The competitions aimed at sensitizing students about the dangers of drug abuse and encouraging them to become ambassadors of a drug-free society. Students expressed their thoughts vividly through paintings and posters, highlighting the social, physical and psychological consequences of substance abuse.
The entire programme was conducted under the able supervision of the Chief Education Officer Doda, Bhushan Kumar Pathak, who lauded the enthusiastic participation of students and the proactive role played by Heads of Institutions and teaching staff in ensuring the successful conduct of the event.
The School Education Department reaffirmed its commitment to continue organizing such meaningful activities under the Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan aimed at building a healthier and drug-free future for the younger generation.
