KULGAM,FEBRUARY 07: A meeting of the District Level Telecom Committee was held today under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan.
The meeting reviewed in detail various issues related to BharatNet, telecom tower sites, 5G street furniture, and overall digital infrastructure in the district.
During the meeting, it was informed that the completion target for the BharatNet project has been fixed for 15th August 2026.
The Deputy Commissioner directed BSNL, KPDCL, R&B, and all concerned line departments to expedite ongoing works and ensure improved and reliable telecom connectivity across the district.
ACR Kulgam, SE R&B, and other officers were present in the meeting. Besides officials from LSA J&K and the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) participated virtually.
