KULGAM, FEBRUARY 02: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kulgam, Viqar Ahmad Giri today chaired a meeting to review arrangements for annual urs of sufi saint Hazrat Syed Noor Shah Saheb Wali Bagdadi (RA) at Waltengo and Oriel Shrines of Kund Valley.
During the review meeting, the ADC directed the officers to ensure uninterrupted power supply, safe drinking water supply, proper sanitation measures besides healthcare facilities and security arrangements at shrine during Urs days.
He instructed KPDCL to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the festival days in entire Kund area.
The concerned Mechanical department was asked to keep men and machinery available and in ready mode to clear roads in case of snowfall during these days to ensure hassle-free movement of devotees.
The ADC stressed upon the officers to work in coordination and to put in place all the requisite arrangements in advance to avoid any inconvenience to the people and smooth celebrations of the Urs.
Transport department was directed to ensure hassle-free movement of devotees besides availability of late evening public transport services to Kund area during the festival days.
