DODA, JANUARY 31: A group of 60 girl students of district Doda was flagged off today for an Educational Exposure tour to Jammu under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme.
The exposure tour has been organized by the Chief Education Officer (CEO) in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department with the objective of enhancing awareness, confidence and overall personality development of girl students through experiential learning.
Deputy Commissioner, Harvinder Singh flagged off two buses carrying students here from the DC Office Complex. Interacting with the girl students, he exhorted them to pursue education with confidence, determination and ambition. He emphasized that education is the most powerful tool for empowering girls and ensuring their active participation in nation-building.
The flag-off ceremony was attended by ADC, Anil Kumar Thakur; Joint Director Education Ashfaq Khanji; District Social Welfare Officer, Zubair Ahmed; Chief Education Officer Mohammad Iqbal; Tehsildar and Executive Officer, Municipal Council besides other officers and officials.
