Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is reaching the summer capital Srinagar on Thursday on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir. He will review the ongoing schemes related to agriculture and rural development in Jammu and Kashmir in a high-level meeting, besides attending the sixth convocation of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SUCAST-K) as the chief guest before returning to Delhi on July 4, 2025.
A senior official of the state administration said that Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will hold a review meeting with senior officials of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Department at the Civil Secretariat immediately after reaching Srinagar on Thursday, July 3. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will also be present in the meeting. After this, in the afternoon, he will participate in the meeting of the Advisory Committee Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare on Natural Farming and National Oilseeds Mission. In the evening, he will make a courtesy call on the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha at the Raj Bhavan.
