BANDIPORA, APRIL 19: As per the Calendar of Activities for April 2026, a Special Lok Adalat for Labour Disputes and Land Acquisition cases was organized by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Bandipora, in coordination with Tehsil Legal Services Committees, Bandipora, Sumbal, and Gurez, and in collaboration with the District Administration Bandipora.
The Lok Adalat was conducted under the supervision of Chairman DLSA Bandipora (Principal District & Sessions Judge), Jeema Bashir and under the guidance of Secretary DLSA Bandipora, Sheikh Babar Hussain.
Three benches were constituted to hear the cases, each consisting of a Presiding Officer and a Member.
The first bench was presided over by Jeema Bashir with Malik Mushtaq (Advocate) as Member. The second bench was headed by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Shabir Ahmad Wani. The third bench was presided over by Assistant Labour Commissioner, Rabiya Iqbal, with Abid Ahmad Naik (Labour Inspector) as Member.
A total of 29 cases were taken up during the Lok Adalat, out of which 6 cases were settled amicably on the spot.
The Special Lok Adalat provided a simple and effective platform for the speedy and amicable resolution of disputes.
