Kathua: A fierce encounter took place between security forces and terrorists on Thursday morning in a remote forest area of Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. 5 Jaish terrorists are reported to have been killed in this encounter. At the same time, four soldiers have been martyred and five security personnel including DSP have been injured. A para commando is also included in this.
All these terrorists are said to be from Jaish-e-Mohammed’s front organization People’s Anti-Fascist Front. Intermittent firing continued from both sides from Thursday morning till late evening. The operation was stopped as soon as it got dark.
It is being told that these are the same terrorists who were seen in Sanyal village of Hiranagar last Sunday, for whose capture a large scale search operation is going on. Army, BSF, Police and CRPF personnel are involved in this operation. Additional personnel have been deployed at the encounter site so that the terrorists do not get a chance to escape.
