As part of the ongoing public outreach programme launched in Union Territory of J&K by the central government, Minister of State for Food Processing Industries, Rameswar Teli today met scores of public delegations, individuals and listened to their issues and grievances, here at Kanthi village.
P.S. to Union Minister, Vrinder Mittal; Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan; SSP, Anita Sharma; Director Horticulture, Raj Kumar Katoch; ADC, Ashok Kumar and several other senior officers were present on the occasion.
The People, lead by BDC Chairpersons and Sarpanchs, projected a number of public issues and sought immediate redress of their concerns.
The Minister, giving a patient hearing to the deputations, said that the merit of each demand will be analyzed and action will be taken on priority to redress genuine issues. Later, the Minister also visited Baglihar Hydroelectric Power Project (BHPP), where he stressed on taking steps to enable the local people to reap the benefits of the mega project. He further asked for taking up Local Area Development.
Chief Engineer Jammu & Kashmir State Power Development Corporation (JKSPDC) along with engineering staff briefed the minister about capacity and functioning of the power project.
