One arrested for involvement in suspicious activities from Pakistan

Jammu: Police along with Special Task Force (SOG) on Thursday arrested a man from Kathua from a village in Samba on charges of involvement in suspicious activities with Pakistan. At present he is being interrogated at Lakhanpur police station.

Departmental sources say that Chak Deviyan of Kathua and Rukmadin, resident of Kedia, were on the radar of security agencies for a long time. Security agencies suspect that Rukmadin had some time ago handed over confidential documents and some mobile SIMs to the suspects sitting across the border. Intelligence information was exchanged by activating these SIMs there.

It is being told that in this connection, on Thursday, SOG picked him up from a village in Samba and handed him over to Kathua police. A case has been registered against the accused under various sections in Lakhanpur police station. The police have also searched the house of the accused. However, Kathua Police has not yet issued a statement in this matter.

Sources associated with the army says that the accused has links with Pakistan. At present, a case has been registered against him under sections 120B, 123IPC, sections 65, 66C, 66F of the IT Act.
