Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha arrived at the residence of Kashmiri Pandit Puran Krishna Bhatt in Jammu on Friday to meet his family members. During this, Jammu District Deputy Commissioner Avani Lavasa, ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh and other officers were also present with him.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed condolences with the family members. He also assured a permanent government job to Puran Bhatt’s wife, a check of Rs 7 lakh to the family and all possible help.
Kashmiri Pandit Puran Krishna Bhatt was assassinated by terrorists on October 15 at Chaudhary Gund in Shopian district. Puran Bhatt had gone to Shopian to help his brother pluck apples in his orchard. During this, the terrorists made him their target. He was survived by his wife and two children in a house located in Jammu’s fist.
