MOVE WILL SERVE PURPOSE
The Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s decision that all employees engaged under Prime Minister’s package will be posted at secure district and tehsil headquarters where Jammu and Kashmir Police will ensure adequate security to them and their family members will hopefully serve the purpose and will go a long way in providing much needed safe environment to the vulnerable section which is presently under threat of Pak sponsored terror elements. The clarion call given by LG Sinha about avenging the killings of minorities and other innocent people in the Valley will surely ascertain that not even a single killer will be spared as security forces are already on job to eliminate each and every terror monger from the scene out there. It is pertinent to mention that delegations of BJP headed by Ravinder Raina and People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) led by its Chairman Dr Farooq Abdullah held separate meetings with LG Sinha over the issue of targeted killings in Kashmir.
The LG has assured the delegations that necessary action is being taken by the administration for safety and security of vulnerable sections. Showcasing that he is the most seasoned person the LG has invited suggestions from all the political parties on issues of targeted killing, eliminating terrorism, terror ecosystem, development and issues concerning youth. This approach is really inspiring because one never knows that who can provide vital cues about tackling problems which have become real headache for the administration and are giving nightmarish experience to one and all in the UT. The LG has said that all sections of polity and society must come together as a united front to eliminate terror ecosystem. Of course the intend of the government is crystal clear about providing security to the civilians but the issue is that terror mongers are taking the benefit of light moments of innocent civilians or security personnel not on duty to hit their targets thus creating problem and spreading fear psychosis. This needs to be tackled with great care and changed strategy with increasing foot patrolling or fortifying intelligence.
