Kashmir’s IG Vijay Kumar’s appeal to Kashmiri Hindus – you should not leave Kashmir, it is my responsibility to protect you


Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Range, Vijay Kumar on Tuesday appealed to Kashmiri Hindus not to leave Kashmir, saying that if they flee Kashmir, they will only succeed the plans of terrorists and their masters. He assured the Kashmiri Hindus of security and said that he himself would feel the improvement in the days to come. He also said that Kashmiri Hindus should not make such rhetoric which encourages the agenda of terrorists.
Today, in a conversation with Kashmiri Hindus agitating in Sheikhpora Budgam for the last five days, Inspector General Vijay Kumar said that terrorists and their masters want that no minority should remain in Kashmir, Kashmiri Hindus should leave Kashmir. So if Kashmiri Hindus should stay here instead of leaving Kashmir. If he leaves Kashmir, he will only make the plans of the terrorists successful.

Last week, terrorists killed Rahul Bhatt, a Kashmiri Hindu clerk working in the Chadoora Tehsildar office in his office. Rahul Bhatt was originally a resident of Sangrampora in district Budgam. He got a job in 2010 under the Prime Minister’s Employment Package and was living in the transit colony built for Kashmiri Pandits in Sheikhpora, Budgam. After his assassination, there is tremendous anger among Kashmiri Hindus. He has warned the government to leave Kashmir, accusing it of neglecting its security. Kashmiri Hindus are continuously staging a sit-in in Sheikhpora for the last five days.
Today IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar went to the Kashmiri Hindus in Sheikhpora and assured them of security. He said that the loopholes in the security system are being identified and rectified. Tight arrangements are being made for the security of all Kashmiri Hindus. In times to come, people themselves will feel the improvement in the security system.

He said that we will completely destroy terrorist violence and network of terrorists from every part of the state including Kashmir. For this, our anti-terrorist operations are continuing. He said that the police, the army and the local people, all have to fight against terrorism together only then terrorism will be completely eradicated and permanent peace will be restored in Kashmir. He said that I appeal to all of you here today not to make any such statement, do not do any such work, which will make our enemy successful in his plans. It is the plan of terrorists and their masters to drive out Kashmiri Hindus from Kashmir. You will have to thwart this plan together with us.
